This property is new on the market. I feel that I should give this a detailed review. I looked through the multiple listings of all the available internet sites and picked this one. I am glad I did. This is a premium townhouse property. I travel extensively for work and pleasure finding myself in numerous properties, both hotels and private properties in multiple cities in Mexico, Canada, Europe, and the US. This property was one of my best experiences. The owners, Floyd and Alice are premium people as well. They live in a casita next door and are wonderful, warm, and accommodating.
The casita is beautiful! It’s a traditional Mexican design, complimenting San Miguel Allende’s colonial heritage. Adobe tile flooring with accent tile through the casita, plastered walls painted in beautiful muted traditional Mexican colors, and red brick ceilings in the bedrooms show Mexican artistry at its finest.
U.S. premium mattresses and sheets, skylights, and colonial furniture mixed with comfortable couches give this place a luxury boutique hotel feel. The appliances are all premium and are in excellent shape. There are two coffee pots, drip, and Keurig. There is a terrace overlooking the traditional Mexican garden outside the upstairs master bedroom where you can start your day with coffee. It looks like an architect and interior designer put this property together.
The place is far enough away from the centro area not to have the associated noise. We felt completely secluded from the rest of the town. Taxis were 50 pesos ($3) to just about anywhere but always confirm first. Juárez Park and the Centro are within walking distance, but why tax your feet when 3 bucks get you a ride in a taxi with a long-term resident driver?
Alice was extremely gracious and went out of her way to make our stay enjoyable. Since she is a full-time resident, she referred us to many excellent restaurants, places to visit as well as places to purchase tile and art, which was helpful since I have a villa in Puerto Vallarta.
I have stayed in many places and usually, private property rentals don’t fully live up to the owners’ description. I don’t think my review lives up to the quality of this property. It’s beautiful, secluded, gated, and masterfully appointed, with wonderful owners.
This is an excellent place to stay. (The only downside is that I can’t add this property to my Marriott rewards program - it’s that nice.) I will obviously stay here again.

When we were planning our stay in San Miguel, my husband and I were a little hesitant about a property with “no reviews”, however, it was too late, we had already fallen in love with the pictures showing the beautiful guest house. We decided to give it a chance and booked it. A decision we will never regret!
The property is perfectly located in a nice and quiet neighborhood, close to downtown, restaurants, and convenience stores.
When we arrived, Floyd (the owner) gave us a tour of the property, we were stunned about how beautiful it was. The casita has a perfect layout, it is beautifully decorated, and it has so many architectural details you won’t believe it! The kitchen is fully equipped with top-of-the-art appliances, fine cutlery, and a board with a list of emergency contact numbers, and places to visit in SM. They have labels (mainly switches) to make it easier for guests.
We fell in love with the dome ceilings throughout the house. The beds were very comfortable with top-quality sheets, and the full bathroom upstairs had extra bath towels ( which was convenient). Everything was impeccably clean. Another detail was the cute little terraza outside the master bedroom as well as the enchanting lighting in the courtyard that we could enjoy at night.
Our experience in this amazing property was beyond expectations, we don’t have enough words to thank Alice and Floyd. Meeting this beautiful couple has been a true blessing. We would definitely love to stay again in their cute “casita” but this time for a longer period of time. Our trip to San Miguel has been one of the most enjoyable experiences ever. Thanks again, Alice and Floyd. Hasta pronto.
